18V Power & Performance

Are cordless tools really as powerful as corded tools?

Yes. It used to be that you had to choose between corded performance and cordless flexibility. Not anymore. Thanks to innovative advances in brushless motor and battery technology, our cordless tools today are just as powerful as (or even more powerful) than corded tools. This is especially the case with the heavy-duty BITURBO Brushless tools in our 18V class.

Are 18V tools really as powerful as higher voltage tools?

Yes. If you pair our BITURBO tools with a ProCORE18V ≥ 5.5Ah battery, you can expect up to 2,000 W of power. This matches (or even outstrips) the performance you would normally only get with a much heavier tool from a higher voltage class. Our 18V tools ensures that the most extreme tasks will feel light in your hands.

18V System Compatibility

Can I use ProCORE18V batteries with any 18V tool?

Yes. The ProCORE18V battery is compatible with all our 18V tools since 2008. This means you can easily boost the performance of older Bosch Professional tools by using the ProCORE18V battery. However, the ProCORE18V battery delivers its best performance when paired with BITURBO tools.

Can I use the regular 18V batteries with BITURBO Brushless tools?

Yes. However, you will only experience the maximum performance of a BITURBO tool if you pair it with a ProCORE18V battery of 5.5Ah and above.

Can I buy bare tools without the batteries?

Yes. We understand you don't necessarily need a new battery with every tool you buy. Thanks to our fully compatible 18V system, it's possible for you to simply buy solo tools (tools without the battery) if you already have a 18V battery (even from as early as 2008).

18V Battery Lifetime & Durability

Will I have to buy new batteries all the time?

No. Our 18V batteries are designed to meet professional needs in even the most extreme conditions. From major temperature changes to dust and water exposure, our batteries are even capable of holding their charge in storage for over a month. The most robust range we have is the ProCORE18V battery, which offers longer battery life, increased endurance and capacity, and comes with CoolPack technology to prevent overheating.

Are batteries covered by the 3-year warranty?

Yes. We understand that batteries are central to your daily work. As long as you register your batteries via the PRO360 app, your batteries are covered for material and manufacturing defects within the 3-year-warranty period.
